WHAT IS SVETA HRANA?
A pioneer of nutrition science - Dr. Weston Price - conducted an extensive ten-year study in the mid-twentieth century of 14 healthy primitive peoples from all corners of the globe who were still on the fringes of civilization at that time. He had the opportunity to observe their contact with it and the changes brought about by that contact. Although these peoples had enjoyed impeccable health up to that point, they all had traditions of making special efforts to obtain certain foods for their pregnant women, children, and elderly. They considered these to be special, sacred foods.
With the development of industry and commerce, these foods lost the essential properties that made them such.
The primitive peoples, along with the customs of the settlers, inherited the health problems that were common among the settlers. Weston Price documented the condition before and after, and analyzed thousands of food samples in his American laboratory with a team of collaborators. He also took thousands of photographs as testimony for future times, which are preserved by the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation and are also very actively promoted by the Weston A. Price Foundation.
His notes and photographs can be found in the work Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, also available online OVDJE.
Sveta Hrana is a label for efforts to reintroduce into the life of modern humans everything that tradition carefully nurtured and that science has confirmed through its research as beneficial and irreplaceable, both in diet and in lifestyle.
Fermented cod liver oil is one of these "lost treasures." The Vikings kept a drum of fermented fish livers at their doorsteps, and Roman soldiers took fish oil daily. Almost all brands of cod liver oil today, found in health food stores, have undergone complex processing. This processing, for the sake of process simplicity and achieving desired shelf life, texture, smell, and taste, typically neutralizes valuable nutrients.
Raw fermented cod liver oil contains all natural nutrients in an intact form, and no heat is used during its production.
Blue Ice fermented cod liver oil is best used in combination with X-Factor Gold butter oil. (Royal Blend) This is a discovery by Dr. Weston A. Price in the 1930s, who observed that the combination of these two achieves better effects than taking the individual components separately.
